Beginner Sewing Basics – Here is a description of how you will learn to sew. Class is 2 – 3 hour sessions. Classes can be scheduled any free day from 1:30 to 4:30pm except Friday. Using the link Enroll Now and we will then pick the day you wish to come.
Please bring the apron pattern Simplicity 1140 and 1 1/8 yard of quilter’s cotton print or solid broadcloth fabric to lesson one. Also bring one small spool of all-purpose sewing thread. You can add 1 1/2 yards of rick rack trim.
Step 1 – Learn to use your sewing machine to do basic sewing. Learn to sew seams, pivot, clip corners, stuff, hand stitch, insert a zipper. You will make 2 projects in the class: a pin cushion and a zipper pouch. We will read your pattern and prepare it for layout. 3 hours. 1:30-4:30pm
Step 2 – Make an apron – Learn to read a pattern and guide sheet, layout the fabric and cut out the apron. Follow the guide sheet and complete the apron. 3 hours. 1:30-4:30pm Enroll Now!
