Creative Feet is a unique product line of feet and accessories for your sewing machine. Clare Rowley has invented several Creative feet accessories to help you sew better. If you need to applique, edge stitch, do piping, sew on beads, or sew on ribbon these are the feet for you.
Satin edge foot
Top Stitching, Edge Stitching and Pin Tucking can all be done with the Satin edge foot. With this foot you simply move the guide pin away from the needle; the distance you chose is the distance your stitch will be from the fabric’s edge. You can also use Satinedge to sew small seams like 1/8?, 1/4? and Scant 1/4?.
Appliqué using a satin stitch. The Satinedge™ foot has a wider zigzag opening than a standard appliqué foot but still has the cross section front of the zigzag opening. You can see the appliqué edge easily as you sew.
Pearls and Piping foot
Couching cording down has never been easier than with this sewing foot and it fits all sewing machines that have a zigzag stitch! Pearls ‘N Piping™ sewing machine presser foot was originally invented by Clare Rowley. The Pearls ‘N Piping foot allows you to make pillows with single or multiple rows of piping, add beads to the edge of the piping for a one-of-a-kind expensive look. Make wedding gowns or veils for the bride in your life. This foot is also fantastic for sewing in zippers.
Sequins N Ribbon foot
The Sequins N Ribbon foot has a ¼ inch guide that feeds any flat trim for you-so your hands are free to guide the fabric. Sewing sequins has never been easier! Sew around in swirling designs with ease and don’t even bother stabilizing the fabric. This amazing sewing machine presser foot does not cause spreading of the fabric. This allows anyone to sew sequins onto even bridal veils.
The Sequins N Ribbon foot is specially engineered to not flip or fold over the sequins so you can sew rows side by side to create your own sequined appliques.

The multicording foot is very multifunctional and a must have for your sewing machine. The Singer company has made an excellent video to show how you can couch up to 3 cords at a time using your decorative stitches. One of the best uses of the cording foot is to gather heavy weight ruffles. Check out the cording foot by watching the video. You can find a snap on cording foot to fit most machines at Jenny’s Sewing Studio. If you need a shank to snap the low shank foot to, we have that as well.

Create the perfect satin stitch edge with the Satinedge foot from creative feet. Look at the beautiful stitch on the applique to the left. Click on the picture to make it larger. The guide helps you to keep your placement of the satin stitch perfect. Depending on the width of the stitch you can make slight adjustment to the guide position. You may also notice the clear view of your decorative stitch using the satin stitch foot. Continue reading
If you do not use decorative stitch you do not know what you are missing. I wanted to “show case” the use of several decorative stitch combination to give you an idea of how the creative combinations create some beautiful borders.
It does not matter what kind of sewing machine you have, just think about the borders you can make. The key is the open toe foot . There are several types of open toe feet. Â I like to use organdy or stitch in the ditch stabilzer if the fabric is not stiff enough to support the stitching.
Another way to use the decorative stitches is the circular stitcher. I carry the Singer and the Brother stitcher. This is a very creative tool.I have a brief video on the stitcher at this link.
Looking at the samples to the left you will see the borders start with a centering stitch. Straight stretch stitch frames a lot of border stitching. Ribbon insertion with the ladder stitch adds a nice touch. Pintucks also add to the border creation using a twin needle. On the soft fabric the tucks form naturally.  I also use the hem stitch  to create holes in the organdy using a wing needle. Watch some of the videos on how to use the feet here!
If you do not own a decorative stitch machine and want one I have several “like new” products you may enjoy. The first 2 borders were made on the Singer Stylist 3400. I am also sharing the 2 dress made using heirloom techniques and the Singer 3400. The last picture is of the 3400 screen and  choosing your stitch. The stitch number is chosen and the machine instantly gives you the decorative stitch.
