Looking for a fun project for the cold winter months. Here is an idea for a Blue Heron wall quilt. I was inspired by a Baby Lock article on the wall quilt they made using an embroidery and sewing machine. I also found a free Singer Blue Heron embroidery that can be used in “other brand machines”. I even found clip art you can use to auto digitize you own embroidery. I posted the project page on my web site and here is the link to all 3 projects. If you need to convert and save a design here is a link to the free Compucon EOS viewer format conversion tool. Interested in Compucom embroidery software? Here is a link to read about Compucon products and watch video.
I was playing around in the Singer Futura software and came up with some brand new Christmas designs for you. They are free! Here is a link! Make sure you sew them out before you place the designs on a project. The Auto punch software is responsible for both designs. I have done both designs in the FHE Futura format. If you have another machine and you want a conversion using the form below and tell me the design you wish and what format you need. Continue reading
I have created a lace pocket using the Singer Futura auto punch and advanced editing . Designs for a lace pocket and a floral lace pocket were saved in FHE format for the Singer Futura. Click on the pictures to download these designs for free. A 3 part video on how to create a lace pocket in the Singer Futura using auto punch and editing was also made. Here is video #1, #2, and #3. Lace pocket designs can be used with monograms and embroidery combinations or you can use it as a simple lace pocket. Lace pocket measures about 4″. Embroider the pocket on a white or colored organza with a wash away stabilizer. Trim the organza to the satin stitch edge.

I have used auto punch and editing and lettering options and show this in a brand new video. Take a look!
A lot of these technique involves sticky paper. We sell “Stick it All” and “Peel and Stick”. Both sticky papers will help you embroider items that can not be hooped. To see technique on stabilizers and hooping read this prior article on design placement. I have loaded a link for Singer video to watch on proper hooping and stabilizer techniques.
